Been really enjoying reading of your travels. Since you asked what the trouble is in your last letter with MS I'll take a guess. I'm betting it's your starter. (Probably obvious to the more experienced mech.) Have you tried kick starting MS? Especially after it's warmed up like after riding for a while and stopping for gas? I've noticed on my 850 that even though it doesn't feel like I'm "kicking" much over, I can usually get the bike to start with a few good kicks. Just like you see in the motorcycle movies. Put that kick start lever out, jump up a little and put all your weight on your right foot and drop 'er down:)
