Hello everybody,
According to the serial lookup on the worshop link I have a 1980 yamaha xs850sg.
Is this any good? lol
I recently cleaned my carburetors and popped those hitachi bad boys back on. The bike didnt fire up so i put the choke on and switched the petcocks to primary and it almost turned on. I read on here that you can spray a little bit of carb cleaner i the spark plugs holes. When i did it the bike almost fired up and let out a big bang in the exhaust. My battery is bad and im using a marine battey connected with jumpercables. Is this ok or a bad idea?
How do i know if the starter is faulty?
The engine sounds like it wants to turn on but no go. You can hear a spinning grinding noise by the starter when using the electric push button.
Also the kickstarter doesnt work when i kick it seems weak and moves the bike.
How many gears are they when i click gears sometimes it gets stuck and moves only one click sometimes two clicks? any help
Sorry to bore you geniuses but i really do need some help?
Also one of the spark wires is cracked and has a hole could this be the issue also?
toay it almost started up and the headlight turned on....SOoo soo close!
