i was at the gold hill bike show today and a guy had a table set up and on his table was a load of original yellow factory manuals for these bikes and xs 650, tx, rd models and he had a accessory book also that listed all sorts of stuff . each book was twenty bucks, but i already had my clymer repair book but i did sit there awhile and looked through them. probably was 75 to 80 old yamaha yellow factory books. but he had only one yamaha bike a old RD model two stroke with only 2600 miles like a brand new . i believe it was a roberts model it was yellow with black road stripes down on the side with a black motor. he used to have a yamaha bike shop years ago, i asked him if he had any petcock stuff and he told me he has probably ten boxes of parts still in plastic factory bags at his hous so he invited me to come look at what he has left over he lives over in the next small town so im going by there and we are going to go through his old bins to see what he has left. he told me he used to have a tv/radio repair shop inside the motorcycle shop before tvs were a throw away thing. he said folk would bring tvs in and he would repair them what a hoot he was. probably 70 yrs. i did pick up an original sales paper for a xs 750 he had that i had not seen anywhere on line and it is like new. i asked him how much and he said fifty cents so i got it.
